We take accuracy seriously. When we get something wrong, we fix it — promptly, clearly, and without burying the correction.
How We Handle Errors
- Minor factual errors (spelling of names, incorrect dates, transposed numbers) are corrected inline with a note at the bottom of the article
- Significant factual errors are corrected with a prominent correction notice at the top of the article
- Errors that change the meaning of a story are addressed with an editor's note explaining what changed and why
- Retractions are published in cases where content cannot be corrected and must be withdrawn entirely

- The specific claim you believe is incorrect
- Your proposed correction and any supporting evidence

What We Don't Remove
We do not delete articles or alter the historical record of our reporting to satisfy requests from individuals or organizations who simply dislike the coverage. Requests for removal of factually accurate content will be declined.
